Freediving Instructors International (F.I.I.) will be hosting a charity breath- hold competition at the 2015 Blue Wild Ocean Adventure and Marine Art Expo on Saturday, February 21 at noon at the Nautical Ventures Pool. The competition will be hosted by 13x World Record Freediver Martin Stepanek with special guest World Record Spearfisherman Cameron Kirkconnell.

The competition will be run in an exciting new format with local certified freedivers going head- to-head in dual elimination breath holding heats. Florida swimsuit models Sarah Jarrett and Stacey Johnson will be hosting a raffle where spectators will have the chance to win incredible prizes such as Yamamoto wetsuits, carbon fiber fins, and Bahamian pole spear packages. “This promises to be an exciting afternoon of entertainment for a great cause,” says Martin Stepanek.

The event has been kindly sponsored by F.I.I. Freediving Facility—FLORIDA FREEDIVERS , Nautilus Spearfishing, Lauderdale Diver, World of Freediving, Austin’s Diving Center, Drift Freediving, IN-SEA Apparel and Freediving Instructors & Consultants. All proceeds raised during the event will be donated to DIVEWISE, bringing attention to the importance of freediving safety awareness. More information about DIVEWISE can be found at www.divewise.org or by contacting Julie Richardson at info@DiveWise.org.
